|FBHVC National Drive It Day|
Start : Sunday 23rd of April 2017
End : Sunday 23rd of April 2017
|Every year Drive It Day is purposefully held on the Sunday nearest to 23 April. Why? Because it commemorates the 64 cars that left London on the first day of the Thousand Mile Trial on 23 April 1900.
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs’ Drive It Day encourages their 500-plus club members and supporters, plus other historic vehicle enthusiasts to use yesterday’s two, three, four or more wheeled vehicles for a day, to celebrate the UK’s transport heritage at its finest.
It is hoped that as many historic vehicles as possible including traction engines, steam rollers, etc will take to the roads on Drive It Day to demonstrate the rights of historic vehicles to be on the road.
