The aim of the show was to raise funds to pay for urgent repairs to St Matthews Church. There will also be regular ring parades throughout the day. <br />Also for the first time in the area The South West Tractor Pullers Association will be putting on a demonstration of their unique and VERY powerful sport which I am sure the adults and children alike will be enthralled by.<br />We will also be putting on a display by the Land army re-en actors, so you will be able to see what farming was like in Britain’s darkest times. We also hope to have a display of Military Vehicles along side.<br />There will also be other attractions to include log cutting on large rack benches, using steam and diesel, trade stands and an auto jumble, a fully licensed bar and catering.<br /><br />The event is being staged purely to raise funds for at least two well deserving local charities, and we hope that the exhibitors and public alike will support us and we will endeavor to give everyone an enjoyable weekend, and for some, memories of their past. The engine will be milling around at Market Bosworth Station throughout the weekend and there will be the possibility to speak to and meet the owners/drivers. You may even be lucky enough to catch a ride on the back of one of the miniatures!! As well as the traction engines there will be steam train rides on the Battlefield Line between Shackerstone and Shenton. The highlight of both days will be the traditional engine line-up and BIG WHISTLE at 2pm on both afternoons.
