Sadly Elvaston Steam rally has been cancelled this weekend due to a water logged site.
A date of 1st and 2nd September (Dorset Weekend) has been set as possible re-schedule. Nick. |

Danm, thats bad news but i can understand why the organisers have made this descision.
Do you think there will be a lack of engines in attendance with it clashing with Dorset as i do know a few do venture down south? |

Dorset weekend was chosen becasue it is probably the only weekend that the organisers themselves are not at a rally and that doen't clash with another local event.
It's unfortunate that it's Dorset weekend but out of the engines that usually come to elvaston, only a handful go to dorset. Also, the re-scheduled event will be smaller than usual because of the cost of cancelling the rally earlier this month. |
