Hi. Can anybody help?
I have recently purchased a well used Mamod TE1 tractor circa 1965. Having cleaned, checked and lubricared said machine, fired it up. using boiling water and a meth burner. It soon came to the boil and produced steam, but it lacks power! it rotates the flywheel and operates the whistle but there is not enough steam to drive the road wheel and/or move the tractor. there is some water dripping, and steam coming from the chimney. With the valve to the piston turned off very little water or steam is released from the safety valve. Any comments would welcome Regards Lionel

Have you tried a new drive band, old one may not have enough tension. Paul19541.
