Hi,
I have some old photographs (attached) of what i believe is a Fowler engine from the North East of England with the above registration. My grandfather used to drive this (and others) and worked for Dryden Ward from Wolsingham County Durham. I believe most of his work involved traveling all over Durham & Northumberland plugging timber & threshing. I know my Grandmother used to talk of an engine called General French, and following research on the internet I believe it is still in the UK near Bristol. I am not sure if this is the same engine in the photograph as the one I have seen of General French has a different registration number - KE 31335 and is a ploughing engine. Does anyone have any further information on either the one displayed in the photograph or General French, I would love to be able to visit General French and take some photographs, and will be passing through Failand (nr Bristol where I believe it now resides) on 18th & 20th January. Thanks in anticipation Graeme Bowser
