I was wondering what steam rallies anyone would recommend around the derbyshire area. I live near Bakewell but would not want to spend hours driving to anywhere remote (in relation to me).

cromford steam rally tansley top matlock, coppice steam rally mapperley ilkeston, belper steam raly duffield, elvaston steam rally, think there is one at darly dale as well

Thanks alot, me and my Dad have been going to Cromford Steam rally since I was too small to remember. I can't make it this year though due to clashes with me going on holiday. I have heard of the Darley Dale event from Webmaster, I may have to check it out. Is there an internet site which has listings/phone numbers/dates etc for all these events? I think there may be something similar on this site... I havn't really had a look around yet.

Hi Chris,

You can always keep an eye on the events listing page on this site, Ray Clayton has done a great job of listing most of the local rallies on there as well as some of the larger rallies a little farther away to.
