I would like to get an idea of boiler pressures in relation to engine size and boiler size. What is the accepted range of pressure for say a 1" scale and a 3" scale model and what type of boiler is used to get what type of pressure?
I believe that in full scale engines pressure ranged from 30 psi to 1600 psi. What is the effect of scaling down models on design pressure? Do 1/2 scale models have 1/2 the amount of pressure? What is the relationship? Can anyone enlighten me?
